Global Accessibility Awareness Day - May 16
|
|
|
Join us on Thursday, May 16, and mark the eighth Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital (web, software, mobile, etc.) access/inclusion and people with different disabilities.
On Friday, May 17 at 1 p.m., Talking Book Service is hosting a program - in collaboration with the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington - for the Low Vision Resource Group. Join us for a panel discussion about transportation resources for people with disabilities.

Make a donation. Donated items are reviewed, and a small percentage of donations are added to the Library’s circulating collection. The majority of donated materials are sold in book sales, sponsored by The Friends of the Library, which raise funds to enhance Library services. Donating used books and media is a wonderful way to support the Library.
