Sarpy County Earth Day – Sarpy's biggest eco-celebration – is almost here! Come out for an afternoon filled with fun while learning about environmentally-friendly practices and connecting with local organizations! The event is indoors and outdoors and suited for all ages!
Environmental Expo - 12-4pm Visit with exhibitors and vendors representing local organizations, businesses, and schools to learn about everything from recycling to renewable energy. Also, see an environmental art exhibit by Omaha South students. See the list of exhibitors here.
Youth Activities - 12-4pm Children will be able to make pollinator seedballs, participate in a recycle relay race, and learn about bees. Plus, there will be live animals, face painters, and a bounce house!
Teen Activities - 12:30-3:30pm Teens can win cash prizes by completing a "Scavenge for the Earth" scavenger hunt!
Local Food - 12-4pm There will be delicious food for sale from Awesome Eggrolls and Attack-A-Taco Food Truck. Plus, coffee from Hype Bike Coffee Co. Come for lunch!
Educational Speakers 1-3pm Join us at the speaker stage to hear short presentations about topics ranging from future plans for a community solar program to a food rescue effort happening in Nebraska.
Electronics Recycling Collection 12-4pm Drop off your unwanted or broken electronics at the Cross Electronics Recycling collection in the parking lot. Bring anything with a cord, battery or motor! There is a small fee for CRT screens and alkaline batteries. Metal also accepted!
EPS Foam Recycling Collection 12-4pm
Bring your extra Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam for recycling by Plastilite! This includes foam packing blocks and foam coolers.
Nebraska's Largest Electric Vehicle Display - 12-4pm If you want to know what's new in Eco-Friendly automobiles, make sure to check out the variety of electric cars on display and talk to the owners!
Trashion Show - 3pm Come see the latest fashions on the green carpet. Groups will be modeling outfits made out of recycled items in this friendly competition. See all of the creative ways to reuse "trash."

Ollie the Trolley Rides
Take a free trolley ride from Gretna to Bellevue! Departure times from Gretna are:11:30am, 11:45am, 12:30pm, 12:45pm,1:30pm, 1:45pm, 2:30pm, and 3:10pm. There are several departures times back to Gretna from the Lied Activities Center with the last one at leaving at 4:00pm.
