Innovation takes place everywhere, but especially where people come together. At the Innovation Park at Dübendorf Airfield we create the opportunity for people from different industries, groups, companies and institutions to come together. The infrastructure has been cleverly chosen to enable chance encounters as well as planned meetings. This special ecosystem with attractive spaces, community areas, services and events is currently being drawn up by Zurich Innovation Park Foundation and its area development partner hrs. However, we can already give you a glimpse of what we are developing on a small scale today, and introduce you to innovative users, cooperative partners and exciting projects. Things are already happening at the Innovation Park and its “waiting room” at Maagtechnic.

VRM Switzerland
VRM Switzerland builds innovative flight simulators for helicopter pilots. The training solutions are based on high-resolution virtual reality technology and a dynamic motion platform (six degrees of freedom). Compared to existing solutions the simulator from VRM Switzerland is light, small and cost-efficient, enabling ecological flight training.

NewGreenTec
NewGreenTec’s energy tower is a mini power station, combining solar panels, small wind turbines, storage and a power inverter in one appliance. It can be installed simply on the smallest base area and plugged in to the home network for one’s own ecological power supply.

V-Locker
V-Locker develops compact automatic cycle and E-bike parking towers which can be simply erected on the smallest base areas - the bike parking system for smart cities!

PlotFactory AG is a leading competence center for advertising technology and large-format digital printing. Together with the well-established standards, its clients are also offered tailor-made solutions. One such assignment produced the unique exhibition world in our pavilion, for which among other things the company’s latest in-house developments MoLED “mobile lighting system” and FixLED “fixed lighting system” were used.

CornuLights rents out and sells event technology and undertakes the implementation of lighting, sound, projection and multimedia for all types of events. As our preferred event technology partner, the company supports the conception, planning and technical operation of events. In event space H3, CornuLights provides us with basic infrastructure with sound and lighting technology, which can be individually augmented for an event. The reliable technical event support provided by CornuLights leads to a smooth operation, so that the organizer can look after their guests, free of worries.

Networking at table football
New ideas are born wherever people come together, spontaneously in front of the coffee machine, the microwave or at table football. Physical proximity speeds up innovation. For this reason the Innovation Park regularly invites its users to exchange ideas. At the last “beerstorming” they could look over the shoulders of Stefan Schöb, talent spotter from the Swiss National Table Football Team.

(Circus) Musical rehearsals in our hangar
For two months jugglers’ balls, dancers and clear sounds flew through our H3 Event Space instead of drones. The artists rehearsed diligently for the world premiere of “KNIE – The Circus Musical” – a colorful enhancement to life on the site.

We are starting the spring actively! From May 7, 2019, join an inspiring yoga class every Tuesday from 7 till 8 a.m. in the Innovation Park. From our visitor terrace enjoy the breathtaking view over the airfield and as far as Mt. Säntis.
