What is terminology?
Terminology is the basic element in a specialised language. A term is a word or phrase that has a specific meaning in a specific context.
Terms that are used within a specific field, are collected as a term list or as a termbase, which can be compared to a dictionary.
Why should anyone spend time on managing terminology?
Managing terminology is a crucial factor when devising source texts and when translating documentation.

During the past year, World Translation has been part of a steering committee with the aim of helping people with disabilities into work. We believe that this is a very important cause and therefore we fully support the initiative to create a more inclusive labour market.
Our Sales Assistant, Michael Lind, is almost completely blind but that does not stop him from doing his work and selling translations. He conducts sales calls, generates new customer leads and contributes to our customer service.
Aarhus Municipality has interviewed Michael and World Translation COO, Marion Randelshofer, for a campaign about creating a more inclusive labour market for unemployed people with permanent impairments.
