Manufacturers from Bačka visited the fair in Verona

A study visit to the fair "Sol & Agrifood " in Verona, Italy, which took place from 7th to 9th April 2019, is an activity implemented by the Regional Development Agency Bačka, through the Grant "AgriSupport - Supporting Rural Economy Growth in the Region Bačka" approved by UNDP within the project "Aid for Trade: Support to Productive Capacities in the Agro-Industrial Sector in Serbia", which is financed by the Russian Federation.
This four-day fair contained the most important events, meetings, tastings and targeted workshops for intensifying contacts among exhibitors and business visitors, along with a rich program of conventions which offer discussions and analyzes on the issues related to supply and demand in Italy, Europe and everywhere in the world.
The delegation that visited the fair consisted of 10 producers from Bačka, whose aspiration is to export their products, establish business partnerships and gather information on new ways of placing, designing and promoting their products. Manufacturers from Bačka have established contacts with targeted producers and distributors from Italy, for the purpose of further networking and cooperation. Also, after the fair, new ideas were created about improving the quality of products, increasing assortments, and applying new technologies in production.
The goal of visiting the fair is to place the products from Bačka, such as cold-pressed oil, wine, ratluk, goat cheese, honey, refreshing herb beverages, hazelnut, strawberry and lavender products, on the market of Italy and the rest of the world in the future.
Regional Development Agency Bačka will continue to support small producers from Bačka, in order to enable them to continue to grow, develop and win the market.
Objective of the project "AgriSupport - Supporting Rural Economy Growth in the Region of Bačka" is to support the development of the rural economy in the Bačka region by using sustainable local capacities in order to improve the quality of life of the local rural population. The project implementation period is from November 2018 to July 2019.

Regionalna razvojna agencija Bačka osnovana je 28. aprila 2010. godine u Novom Sadu u skladu sa Zakonom o regionalnom razvoju i akreditovana je od strane Nacionalne agencije za regionalni razvoj. Osnivači razvojne agencije su trinaest lokalnih samouprava sa teritorije Bačke, i to: Bač, Bačka Palanka, Bački Petrovac, Beočin, Bečej, Srbobran, Sremski Karlovci, Odžaci, Kula, Vrbas, Titel, Žabalj i grad Sombor. Negujući princip javno-privatnog partnerstva, regionalnoj razvojnoj agenciji su se kao osnivači pridružili i drugi subjekti javnog i privatnog sektora: Slovan progres – Selenča, Reciklažni centar Braća Ilić – Bačka Palanka, I2R d.o.o. Novi Sad, Evropski pokret u Srbiji – Novi Sad, Centar za organsku proizvodnju – Selenča. Inicijativa za osnivanje Regionalne razvojne agencije Bačka pokrenuta je od strane opština u Bačkoj, u želji da zajednički sarađuju i realizuju međuopštinske razvojne projekte, kroz domaće i inostrane programe, a u cilju osnaživanja rada lokalnih samouprava i unapređenja opšteg društveno - ekonomskog razvoja teritorije na kojoj deluju.
