SAVE THE DATE |‘Home, Safe Home’ | 5 - 11 August 2019
Save the date for Homelessness Week, held between 5-11 August this year. The Week's theme is 'Home, Safe Home' and will see events happening around WA.
The aim of the week is to raise awareness of homelessness, the issues people face, and the action needed to end homelessness.
All not-for-profit community services organisations and local governments in Western Australia are invited to apply for the Homelessness Week event grants.
Grants are available for up to $2,000 per organisation. They are designed to have a wide-reaching effect in raising awareness about homelessness.

Bush dwellers told to move
People living in bushland in East Rockingham have been issued with a move-on notice, but WAAEH Lived Experience Advisor Jonathan

Shapiera says they need to be supported, rather than removed from an area that has become their home.
Representatives from relevant organisations or individuals with a passion and interest in particular areas of homelessness in WA are
invited to express an interest in joining or advising to a working group to help progress a part of the 10-year plan to end homelessness.
