What do you have in your hand?

Steve Lillis is an incredible pool player. Early on in his life, he played for money and pride, now he plays for an entirely different reason. When Steve began following Jesus, he decided to give up the sport, but a pastor and the story of Moses caused him to think again. This mentor pointed Steve to the story of Moses' calling. God asked Moses, "What do you have in your hand," and He used that stick as a tool to deliver the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Steve immediately saw the parallel and decided to use his pool stick for God's purposes.

This was the third time we hosted Steve and Gospel Trick Shot Ministries in Richmond. Steve shared his story and pool trick shots in the middle of both Virginia Commonwealth and Virginia Union Universities. Interspersed with student testimonies, it was a powerful two days of outreach!

Tim* joined the crowd of students that surrounded the pool table on campus at Virginia Union. Marcus Floyd, our staff member there saw his interest and engaged him in conversation. Tim had been moved by the students who shared what God had done in their lives and confessed, "I need to give my life back to Jesus." Tim immediately joined a small group, has plugged into community and will be baptized on Good Friday!

Would you pray with for us?
  • Pray for students our students who will be baptized on Friday that it would be a significant step in their spiritual journey.
  • Pray for the discernment as we select new leaders for the next school year.
  • Pray for our staff as they focus on raising their ministry budgets.
  • Pray for our upcoming student leader and staff training events, that God would help us to make them inspiring and enriching.

TEAM MEXICO 2019
One of the four spring break teams Richmond Chi Alpha sent to serve globally!
Around the House

I'm having a hard time believing it, but that's Sam behind the wheel. He passed his permit test a few weeks ago and is logging some driving time. We've been out a few times already and he's done a fantastic job (even with the manual transmission)!

Levi turned 13 this months and we had an awesome time on our overnight trip to DC. It was great to take him to his first NBA game and to spend time affirming the man God is forming him into.

Nate's back at it with baseball! He excited to be playing in the Little League Majors Division. Keep your eyes peeled for a Godzwa in this upcoming LL World Series.

As always, we want to wrap up this update with gratitude. We couldn't do what we do with out your faithfulness. Thanks for your support, prayer and encouragement. Together we're reaching students, training leaders and influencing nations. We love serving Jesus with you!
