The commonly seen oral ulcers are called as an ‘aphthous ulcer’. It is typically a recurrent round or oval sore inside the mouth on an area where the skin is not tightly bound to the underlying bone. These areas are the inside of the lips, cheeks, floor of the mouth (underneath the tongue) or even the tonsil area.
