SHE THE PEOPLE PRESIDENTIAL FORUM

She the People is hosting the first-ever Presidential candidate forum focused on women of color. Women of color are critical organizers and the core constituency that delivered big wins in the midterms. This forum will focus the nation on the issues important to women of color—issues of racial, economic, gender, and social justice.
Currently scheduled to appear are: Senator Cory Booker, Former Secretary Julián Castro, Representative Tulsi Gabbard, Senator Kamala Harris, Senator Amy Klobuchar, Former Representative Beto O’rourke, Senator Bernie Sanders, and Senator Elizabeth Warren

APRIL MEETING: "THE GREENING OF HOUSTON"

This month's meeting will focus on creating greenspace in Houston. We are delighted to be joined by Howard Sacks of the Willow Waterhole Greenway Conservancy and Pat Menville of the Sharpstown Parks Alliance. This is a great opportunity to learn what these agencies are doing to promote our greenspaces, and what you can do to get involved.
Please note that we are at the Chinese Community Center this month, not Bayland Community Center.

The Harris County Democratic Party is thrilled to announce the first speaker in our Presidential Candidate Speaker Series. Harris County voters will have the opportunity to hear from Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (NY) on Saturday, May 4th, 10 AM - 11:30 AM at St. John’s Church, 2019, Crawford Street.
HCDP is inviting all Democratic Primary candidates to participate in these public conversations. We hope we are able to help democratic primary voters get a better understanding of how candidates would approach the challenges facing Harris County, Texas and the Country.
These events are open to the public and admission is $5 with all proceeds benefiting the Harris County Democratic Party.

"It's a new day in Harris County.
The transformational change we have experienced after the last few elections is nothing short of amazing. New leadership at all levels of government is already making a difference for the better for our residents, and I am proud to do my part as Judge of the 127th District Court.
I know the positive change we now see would not be possible without the tireless work from people at the grassroots level all across Harris County. It is because of people like you.
I want to say thank you for that hard work, and I want to do it in person. As a small token of my appreciation, I am pleased to host a series of events to honor our grassroots leaders in Harris County, and I hope you will join me.
These four events, in four different parts of the county, are designed to honor grassroots leaders in each of our Harris County Commissioners Court precincts.
