Spring Greetings to our Donors and Fan Club

April 2019

A Note from Laurie Dale Marshall:

There is a spring in our step at EPNRC as we celebrate all of you!  After a full year as Director, I’ve been awed by generosity in every season. Your contributions have allowed EPNRC to grow our Lending Library of resources, elevate best practices through a Better Business Bureau Charity Accreditation Cohort, host a 3-part Development Officer Training program, successfully advocate for an amendment to Town Code that increases the availability of affordable, nonprofit office space, as well as provide all the foundational educational programming our member nonprofits require.

As we look ahead to wrapping up our three-year campaign for sustainability and growth, I see a bright future, inspired and made possible by you. Thank YOU for supporting our goal of ensuring Estes Park nonprofits have the resources and support they need, and for recognizing that a gift to EPNRC is a gift to all Estes Park nonprofits.

I hope to see your smiling faces splashing in puddles on Duck Race Day. Please consider choosing #25 (Estes Park Nonprofit Resource Center) as your Duck Race beneficiary! And stop by to say Quack! on May 4 at Riverside Plaza.

In Recognition of our Board:

Hello to New Board Members Scott Applegate and Julie Klett.
Thank you—thank you!—to Board Members who have completed their term or transitioned off the board: Cynthia Krumme, Lindsey Lewis, David Hemphill, and Julie Pieper. We couldn't do it without you.

A Story of Planned Giving

Our family had a summer home across from the YMCA of the Rockies on an area called Holy Hill. It was built in the 1930's and passed on from my grandparents to my parents and then my generation. I loved to climb on the rocks and wander the 10 plus acres of land the cabin sits on. Our family decided to maintain the home as is and keep the family memories going, so we put the home and property into a conservation easement. That property will remain as-is forever. I have set up planned gifts to local organizations whose missions I believe in.

The Fall River Society is a group of people who have created a planned gift to an Estes nonprofit(s). Each year, they gather to celebrate giving and induct new members. Have you created a planned gift to EPRNC? If so, please step forward and join the Fall River Society.

THE IMPACT OF GIVING

Estes Park Sunrise Rotary Funded a Lending Library.
EPNRC Members are able to access audio visual equipment for free.

“The League of Women Voters has come to rely on EPNRC for audio/visual equipment at our monthly meetings.  The projector, screen and microphone are vital to being able to communicate with those who attend our meetings. Without this equipment we would most likely not have the attendance that we currently have. It makes our ideas visible and helps to carry our voices.Thank you to the EPNRC for being an important resource to us - we look forward to our continued collaboration!”
- Liz Zornes, Leage of Women Voters Board Member
