SMOC Training Weekend 18th-20th October
NEW FOREST
Following the not quite successful CompassSport Trophy qualification event we will all have a weekend without any orienteering events to go to on 18th-20th October (as this is the weekend of the CompassSport Cup & Trophy finals). Therefore, we are planning to hold a club training weekend in the New Forest.
Here are the details so far:
Dates/times: Training will be a full day on Saturday 19th and a half day Sunday 20th October. (There may also be the opportunity for a small night event on Saturday night.)
Accommodation: proposed to be at a Premier Inn nearby where twin or double rooms are available for around £60 per room per night (excluding breakfast).
Numbers: Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Costs: The cost of the coaching is being funded by the club. Individuals are expected to cover their own travel, food and accommodation costs.
NOTE: The course is open to adults only and participation will require confidence to compete at TD4 (Light Green) and above.
If you would like to reserve a place on the course please email Debbie by SUNDAY 31st MAY confirming your attendance and detailing your accommodation requirements (we can pair people for twin rooms if you would like that).

Upcoming events
- Good luck to all those SMOCies travelling to compete in the Jan Kjellstrom Festival of Orienteering in Surrey over the Easter weekend
- The next club night will be a training run at Furzton Lake on Thursday 25th April at 7pm. Bring your JK maps for a post event review!
- The next Keyne-O event is Sunday 12th May at Caldecotte Lake
