Welcome to Spring from the Spring Creek Community Club

The Community Club is open to all Spring Creek residents.  The Club meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 7 pm in the large meeting room at the Sports Club.
The Club provides a great way to meet neighbors from all the Spring Creek neighborhoods and to take part in a variety of educational, social and outreach activities.  Bob Babyok, our local representative on the Louisa County Board of Supervisors, gives an update at each meeting on important issues in the County. For more information on the Community Club, please contact communityclub@springcreekliving.com.

As part of its outreach to the community “outside the gate”, the Community Club has developed a strong relationship with the Louisa County Resource Council.  The Resource Council has two upcoming outreach activities in which residents from Spring Creek may participate.  The first is a program called Caring Connections.  The program has been designed to reduce isolation in older adults and support aging-in-place through personal visits to an identified home bound adult in Louisa County.  The program would involve a regular visit/assistance as established between the volunteer and the visitor.  It is recommended that two individuals together be involved in this ongoing visitation experience.  The key goal is to provide friendship and companionship to an older adult through a variety of activities determined mutually by the visitor(s) and the recipient.  For those interested, a 2-hour training session will fully explain the program goals, objectives and individual requirements for volunteers.  For more information contact gshasby@gmail.com.
The second activity is the Resource Council’s Annual Triathlon Competition Fund Raiser  held at the end of June. The Resource Council uses the funds raised through this event to provide food and other assistance to families in documented financial need. All donations should be sent to the Louisa County Resource Council noting the Triathlon in the memo line.  Send donation checks to: Louisa County Resource Council, P.O Box 52, Louisa Virginia  23093

Newcomers' Gathering

Fifty-three newcomers attended a “Meet and Greet Gathering”, sponsored by the Welcome Committee and held at the Sports Club March 30, 2019. Newcomers to our Spring Creek Community were greeted by the Welcome Committee along with Advisory Council and Community Club members present to greet and answer questions about activities and “happenings” in our neighborhood.

Ginny Layne (Golf) and Shannon Kenealy (Tavern) had displays and each provided a door prize. Sanjay Suri was available to answer HOA questions as was Bob Babyok, our Louisa County Supervisor. Sherryl Taylor represented the exercise activities currently available to Spring Creek residents,

On Saturday, May 4 (National Bake Sale Day!) the Spring Creek Lady Golfers will be holding a bake sale in the breezeway of the Spring Creek Clubhouse (just outside the Pro Shop) from 9:00-1:00.

ALL proceeds from the sale go to the Marty Whitlow Ovarian Cancer Research Fund at the University of Virginia Cancer Center.
Take a break from garage sale shopping and help support this great cause!
