• Obair a dhéanann duine ar son Daltaí na Gaeilge, agus

• An iarracht a dhéanann duine chun na Gaeilge a fhoghlaim (Mac Léinn) nó a mhúineadh (Múinteoir).

I mbliana, beidh dhá dhuais ar fáil ($1,000 an ceann). Chomh maith le sin, gheobhaidh Múinteoir táille saor in aisce ó Oideas Gael.

Seo na Scoláireachtaí 2019:

A Gaelic Saturday - Satharn na nGael - June 1st 2019 Our annual one-day Irish Language Immersion Program (Satharn na nGael) will be held on Saturday the 1st of June 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We will be returning to the Philadelphia 'Irish Center' this year. It is a very beautiful and comfortable facility which always makes us feel as though we've come home for the day.

People who register by May 18th (either by mail or online) will receive a $5 discount. We hope you will be able to join us for the day. On-line Registration and payment are available for this event. General Information, Directions and a Registration Form are available through this link.

Daltaí na Gaeilge awards three scholarships during the month of May each year. The selection criteria are based on:

• The work a person does on behalf of the Irish language,

• The work a person does on behalf of Daltaí na Gaeilge, and

• The efforts a person makes to learn the Irish language (Student) or to teach the language (Teacher).

This year, there will be two awards available ($1,000 each). In addition to that, the winning Teacher will receive free tuition from Oideas Gael in Gleann Cholm Cille, County Donegal.

These are the 2019 Scholarships:

- $1,000 so that a student can attend an Irish language course in the Gaeltacht.

- $1,000 so that an instructor can attend a course for Irish language teachers in the Gaeltacht.
- For many years now the winner of this scholarship has also had the opportunity to attend the Teachers' Course "Múineadh na Gaeilge" at Oideas Gael in Gleann Cholm Cille, County Donegal. The teacher receives free tuition, meals and lodging for that course as well.

- The recipient of this scholarship receives free tuition, meals and lodging at the Irish Language Immersion Week that is sponsored by Daltaí na Gaeilge every Summer in Esopus, NY.

Biennial elections for Representatives to the Daltaí na Gaeilge Volunteers will be held in May of 2019. Five slots are open, and each term is for two years.

The newly-elected Representatives (Ionadaithe) will work hand-in-hand with all the current Volunteers in order to [1] organize Daltaí Immersion Programs, [2] lighten the overall workload, and [3] help make improvements, where possible. After the election, the Representatives will decide amongst themselves on their individual areas of concentration, such as:

• Programs
  
• Education
  
• Fundraising
  
• Publicity
• Siopa Dhaltaí

You will be eligible to vote in the election if you have attended at least 2 Daltaí Programs between January 2018 and May 2019, or if you are on the current list of active Volunteers.
