Get your boots on the ground in the far west at Broken Hill
For the first time in its 20 year history, the NSW Landcare and Local Land Services conference heads to the far west, to Broken Hill and the heart of the outback.
The conference is not only the pinnacle community based natural resource management event in NSW, but one of the leading forums of its kind in Australia.
It's going to be an informative and truly inspiring event that will also showcase some of the amazing work going on out west and from around the state - don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!
All participants of the conference (delegates, speakers, sponsors and industry representatives) must be registered.
The theme of the conference is Healthy Landcare and Healthy Landscapes. Register by 30 June to take advantage of the early bird rate.
Sara Storer to rock Silverton and Charlie Arnott to give the keynote address
Pack your party outfit and dancing shoes with ARIA award and multiple award and multiple Golden Guitar award winning artist Sara Storer to perform at the conference's Welcome Adventure Function on Tuesday, 22 October.
The Silverton Pub will be rocking well into the night as Sara, with support from her singer-songwriter brother Greg, plays all her hits along with a number of songs from her eighth studio album Raindance while you enjoy dinner, drinks and have a great time.
Turning to the conference the next day and NSW biodynamic farmer and grazier Charlie Arnott will give the keynote address in what promises to be a fascinating and insightful presentation from the winner of the 2018 Bob Hawke Landcare Award.
Charlie practices regenerative farming, organic, biodynamic and holistic grazing principles on his 5,000 acre mixed farming property, "Hanaminno" at Booroowa, NSW.
Landholders and community members have a wonderful opportunity to share their experiences, acquired knowledge and outcomes with the broader Landcare community by making a submission to present at the conference.
People involved in Landcare, natural resource management, sustainable agriculture, regenerative agriculture, integrated pest, weed and biosecurity management and community empowerment are encouraged to apply.
All the information regarding presentations, including the guidelines and EOI form are on the conference website.
Submissions are due by Friday, 31 May and help us, help you share your story! We are seeking submissions that showcase an approach to building Healthy Landcare and Healthy Landscapes.
