Hello!
I hope you're well.
The picture above is of the beautiful - and historic - Abercorn Church, not far from Hopetoun House, near South Queensferry.
A few years ago, The PR Store was commissioned to design and print a new brochure for the Church. Recently I've reprinted and updated the guidebook. It's always nice to work on projects like this.
Abercorn is packed with history and there's a chance to have a look around - and get tea/cake at an Easter Tea this Saturday, April 20. You'll find details on The PR Store website.
I'm also leading a free community walk to Abercorn on Saturday (stopping, of course, for tea/cake at the Church Hall). If you live in central Scotland and want to join in, come along.
Away from walking and eating cake, I've also been very busy developing the new James Watt website with Historic Environment Scotland and a range of partner museums and professional bodies.
Did you know it's 200 years since the great inventor died? This year is also the 250th anniversary of his patent to improve the steam engine (an innovation that changed the world).
Lots of great events are taking place to mark Watt in 2019. Check out the site for details.
I'm also continuing to support The Friends of Kinneil charity, which works to promote Kinneil House, its Estate and neighbouring Nature Reserve in Bo'ness, through press relations, website creation work, social media and other marketing.
Look out for another free open day at Kinneil very soon.
