Description: In Make a Difference, author James A. Harnish helps United Methodists answer the questions “How can I contribute to God’s healing work in this world?” and “How can I find my place to serve and make a difference?” Drawing upon biblical wisdom and real stories of real people who have found their place to serve, he provides practical guidance to help every disciple make a difference as a participant in God’s transformation of the world.

Also of note, as our congregation prepares for the confirmation of our youth on Sunday, June 9th, this book study offers the adults of the congregation a special opportunity to re-confirm their faith in anticipation of this seminal moment in the lives of our congregation's youth!

Sierra Leone Photo Exhibit

Our church will be hosting a photo exhibit created by professional photojournalist Jeff Pearcy. The exhibit is focused on the people of Sierra Leone and highlights both the beauty of the Sierra Leone people, as well as the suffering they bear. Find below the exhibit’s schedule:

  • Sunday, May 5th, 10 AM Worship - Jeff Pearcy and Pastor Scott share a joint sermon centered on the Good Samaritan parable and our calling as people of faith to have compassion for the people of Sierra Leone.

  • Sunday, May 5th, 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM, Barbee Hall - Jeff will officially launch the exhibit with a presentation about what led him to photograph the people of Sierra Leone, along with a time for attendees to engage in Q&A with Jeff while viewing his photographs.

  • Regular exhibit hours - Between the dates of May 6th and July 2nd,  the exhibit will be open every Tuesday and Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM in Barbee Hall (check in at office).
