CCA Students Present Type History

This spring semester, a group of MFA students at California College of the Arts took part in a unique course: a Survey of Type History, taught by Archive staff using material from our collection. Come experience the culmination of their hard work, a Salon that tells the story of type and design innovation as researched, curated, and presented by the students.

Type West Public Workshop

Floating Downscreen: An Intro to Lettering on the iPad

Only a few spots remain for this iPad lettering workshop with James Edmondson and Type@Cooper West alum Tad Wagner. This course will cover helpful sketching techniques, core principles of lettering and spacing, and killer tips to make the most of these new tools. Working efficiently in a digital environment can be tricky to get the hang of, but this two-day intensive workshop will jumpstart your skills to make your experience effective and fun.
