The Main Street Water Line Replacement project
interconnection on Jefferson Street.

Contractors have commenced work on the interconnection with the Jefferson Street water main. A temporary two-way traffic pattern has been established on Jefferson Street from Henry Street to Main Street to accommodate Letcher Avenue traffic, and a southbound detour on Randolph street has been created. Due to weather and slowed progress of heavy utilities, much of the trench will have to be hand dug. Traffic will be returned to normal for the weekend, but the detour will be reestablished Monday and Tuesday.
