Greetings from Houston! I hope the start to your Spring (if you are in that hemisphere) is warming you up. I am filled with so many emotions at this current juncture, and fondly thinking of you wherever you are at.
It is with gratitude and excitement that I release a collaborative single with my producer friend Steven, who musically goes by Muto Mosi. It has been a delightful and easeful creative process working with Muto Mosi. I respect and admire him not only just artistically but also as a fellow electronic music lover//maker belonging also to the Asian diaspora who shares a commitment to thinking critically about representation and equity in art.

Produced by Indonesian producer, Muto Mosi, with lyrics and vocals by Indian-American singer-songwriter, Uliya, "Divine" marries their unique styles—championing cultural authenticity. Using a mix of analog/digital equipment and samples, "Divine" was built by Muto Mosi around the melodies and lyrics that Uliya penned. "Divine" is a song about seeking intimacy and connection in a culture of sexual and romantic disposability underscored by the repeated, universally-relatable phrase "want you to call my name."
