After a snowstorm, a service, and lunch with the folks from Fox Valley Christian Fellowship, Chuck and I pulled out of Kimberly, WI with our sights set on Shiprock, NM. Stopping only as was necessary, we arrived in Farmington, NM, approximately 1500 miles and 24 hours later. We finally took time to have a sit down meal, enjoying a delicious full breakfast. Afterwards, exhausted but excited, we dropped our things off at our hotel for the night, got back in the van and drove the additional 45 minutes to Shiprock. We were greeted by Pastor Floyd Lee, the interim pastor at Four Corners Community Church, and Chris, a deacon. We unloaded the tools from our van, took more measurements in the house, and headed back to the Farmington Home Depot to order our supplies to get started on the work. Our first major order would be delivered in 2 days!

It was a whirlwind two-week makeover project. Our team was comprised of 10 individuals from IL, WI, MN, OR & NM. Our work consisted of: pulling out nails, remaining sheetrock & old unusable insulation. Completely rewiring & updating the electric, replacing & adding insulation, hanging all new sheetrock, mudding, sanding, painting & replacing fixtures. Whew! It was hard work, but well worth it!

It was wonderful to not only see the transformation of the parsonage itself, but to see the encouragement and participation from some of the believers at Four Corners Community Church. They will soon actively begin to look for a pastor who can now live in the newly remodeled parsonage. Thanks to everyone who went to serve, financially invested in and prayed for the team and the project!! Together we made a difference in New Mexico. Click here to watch a video from the trip!

Chuck and Wilma Lormis came to our church and I really didn’t know what to expect. I knew our church's current awareness in the area of missions was subpar. Chuck and Wilma were not only pleasant to work with but they were also very well received by our church. We’ve started to implement some of the strategies that they’ve suggested to raise missions awareness in our church and I’ve already seen an increase in financial and prayer support for our missionaries (in a very short time).

Chuck and Wilma absolutely know what they’re talking about and I believe they are called to bring their message to the church so that we’ll rise up and send workers into the harvest. And on a side note, as I’ve had conversations with Chuck and Wilma throughout the process of raising missions awareness in our church I could tell they really cared about me and our church…they’re focused on their mission but they’re not blind to the opportunities (needs) for ministry along the way. They truly have a heart for pastors and missionaries and it really shows.

I HIGHLY recommend that you have Chuck and Wilma come to your church and share how they can team up with you to raise missions awareness in your church.

Praises & Prayer Requests

New Mexico: Thank you for praying! The team had a great time, MUCH work was accomplished and God moved in our services. One man give His life to Christ! Please pray that God will enable Four Corners Community Church to complete the final work quickly and direct the right pastor to them.

Infuse Conference: We were able to share our ministry to approximately 50 pastors. We made good connections and some new friends. Please pray God will move among our rural churches and lead us to pastors that would like help developing missions in their church.

Other Prayer needs: Please pray for God to anoint our upcoming services, give us safe travels and raise up the team He wants to go to Thailand. Could one of the teammates be YOU?

On a personal note...

It was our pleasure to partner together with the individuals who came to work on the Shiprock project. We worked hard, had fun, made many new friends among our Navajo brothers and sisters, and impacted the Kingdom of God both physically and spiritually. If you've never been on a mission trip, would you pray about joining us for Thailand? God will use you to make a difference in Thailand and He will use Thailand to make a difference in you!

Please pray that we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us to those who are ready to hear the the life changing message of Jesus. And that we will make the most of every opportunity given to us. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you who pray and give to make this all possible. Together we do make a difference!!
