Minimizing substance-related harm and enhancing quality of life are essential to improving health in our communities. Harm reduction approaches offer innovative strategies to meet those goals.

Please join HealthierHere's Partner Learning Webinar next Thursday, April 25th from noon to 1 p.m. to learn about harm reduction. Harm Reduction for Substance Use: Meeting People Where They’re At will be led by renowned expert Susan E. Collins, PhD, whose work was recently featured in The Seattle Times.

Dr. Collins is a licensed clinical psychologist and codirector of the Harm Reduction Research and Treatment (HaRRT) Center at the University of Washington – Harborview Medical Center. In this webinar, Dr. Collins will draw from over twenty years of experience in substance use research, assessment and treatment to help us understand harm reduction as it is implemented on the policy, population, community and individual levels. We will discuss the historical roots of harm reduction and examine the rationale for harm-reduction treatment as a policy and clinical practice.

We hope you can join us.
