Spring Cleanup

Please volunteer for our road cleanup which is scheduled for Saturday, May 4 from 10-12 ( rain date is  Sunday May 5) . This is a great opportunity to get together outside of the Sangha and do some good as well. Please sign up at the Sangha on Mondays or just come. We'll meet as usual in the Levittown Library parking lot at a little before 10. The more the merrier! Dress appropriately.  We will hand out all the supplies you need and you will be in pairs.

News from Board Meeting
The Sangha board met Thursday for their monthly meeting. Phil Brown is moving to Colorado and we wish him well and express much appreciation for serving the sangha since 2010. He will continue to advise the sangha as the Immediate Past President. Rika and Diana have resigned from the board for various reasons and since Rika was our vice president, we are looking for someone to step up to serve in that capacity and we are very grateful for her service. Ann and Rich are going to continue supporting the outreach and service committee and we sincerely thank Diana for her contributions to the board and that committee as well.  The sangha is in good financial state, however it was discussed that donations are low some nights and we do not make up for the weekly rent. There are enough people for the upcoming retreat with Lucinda and we expressed appreciation for Moira organizing the programming, and she asked for more help with upcoming events.  If you would like to be on the board, please let us know.

Dana
The Sangha offers our weekly meetings, programs, and retreats through the volunteer efforts of members and the Board. We rely on your weekly donations (dana) to pay the rent and provide various programs. Our teachers receive no payment for their instruction, however in the tradition of dana (generosity) they are supported solely by your voluntary donations.
May your generosity be a spontaneous expression of gratitude. We have a donation box on the lobby table with the order of service booklets. Your donations are tax deductible and we can provide tax receipts on request.

Outreach and Service Requests Donations for Family Services Homeless Shelter
During the month of April we will focus our efforts to provide the shelter with individually packed snacksAs of January in Bucks, 359 people were identified as living in emergency shelters, transitional housing or outdoors. The Family Services Homeless Shelter, located near the Levittown Library, provides temporary housing to people in serious need. They could use our help.
Your donations given in the spirit of loving kindness will be gratefully accepted. If you forget to bring the snacks please feel free to make a cash donation in the bucket at the Sangha designated for the shelter. Many thanks!

Lama Gursam Update
John Wenz was with us last week and informed us that Lama Gursam is still in India taking care of the family, with him fathers passing recently.  If you are looking to support him and his work, contributions are welcome to the Boddhichita Foundation https://thebodhicittafoundation.com/
