A sweet gathering for a great podcast

Celebratory cupcakes for The Well Endowed Podcast
It was so lovely to celebrate 10,000 downloads of The Well Endowed Podcast with our friends at the Edmonton Community Foundation this week!

They hosted a lovely reception attended by listeners, past guests, contributors, staff, and, of course, the intrepid team of Elizabeth Bonkink, Andrew Paul and Lisa Pruden, who create the show. We look forward to many more episodes, and we're very proud to promote this affiliated podcast on our network.

How could food help you promote your pod?

As mentioned last week, we’re looking into the possibility of starting a chapter or two of Podcast Brunch Club in Alberta.

We’re still getting our ducks in a row on that front, but in the meantime, PBC founder Adela Mizrachi has an interesting opportunity that she’d like to make available to you who subscribe to this fine newsletter.

As a reward on her Patreon page, she’d like to start offering brunch (or brunch-ish) recipes from podcast creators. She invites you to submit such a recipe, in whatever format suits you: text, photo essay, audio, video, whatever you like.

This gives you a way to pitch your show in a way that lets your personality shine through. Ideally, the recipe would reflect something about your podcast, and be named thusly. We’re all creators here, so if you borrow said recipe from somewhere else, give credit where credit is due.

This is an experiment, and there’s no guarantee that your recipe will end up as a reward. But it certainly can’t if you don’t submit it, so if you’re interested, please send your recipe to adela@podcastbrunchclub.com. Please put “PBC recipe” in the subject line.

Podcast episode guide

We’ve just come through a rough election campaign in Alberta, and Edmonton and Calgary voted for different parties, and there’s a lot of… feelings out there. We are feeling those feelings, too.

Let’s just note that in this week’s roundup, we have podcasts from Edmonton and Calgary in peaceful coexistence, promoting each other, enjoying each other, connecting with each other in interesting and valuable ways. Onward.
