Welcome to Lakeshore PAWS' newsletter for April 2019.
Dear friends-

Every year at this time we are all busy planning for our biggest event of the year - the Lakeshore PAWS Pup Crawl.
This year's Pup Crawl will be held Saturday June 8 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Register here.)

As in the past years, the festivities will be located at the Central Park Plaza, Home to the Porter Health Amphitheater in Downtown Valparaiso and will be a free event. You can bring your dog for the walk and enjoy the food, vendors, beer and wine tent, and kids will have a blast in the bounce house. You can also come without your four-legged friends and dance to the music by The CrawPuppies and Ryan Staniszeski.


The walk will start promptly at 6 p.m. If you sign up ahead of time, you will receive a gift bag full of fun items for both you and your dog. There will be a limited amount of bags so please remember to sign up now.
Pup Crawl is our biggest fundraising event, so please come and support our homeless dogs and Lakeshore PAWS so we can continue to save more lives.

  5. Lakeshore PAWS would not be what it is today without all of our wonderful volunteers. That being said, we are always looking for more!!! Not only do the dogs need attention, but we can always use help with events, fundraisers, and fostering. Volunteer of the month
How do we begin to describe all that Mary Dunlap does for our dogs? The long list includes cleaning, walking, events, laundry, bathing and helping them to find homes. But the most important is her love for these sweeties during a scary and uncertain time in their lives. For all you do, thanks Mary from us and the dogs!

Hello, we are Punky and Boo. Punky (left) is a sweet 8-year-old female Hound/Terrier mix and Boo is a 6-year-old Hound/Terrier mix.
We came to Lakeshore PAWS together and have probably spend most, if not all our our lives together. We are sure hoping to be able to continue living together in a loving forever home.
We are very sweet dogs.
Punky loves nothing more than giving kisses and Boo, while a big dude, loves sitting in laps.
We appear to do well with other dogs, but have plenty of love to give on their own and will probably do best as the only dogs. (No cats please.)

Lakeshore PAWS so wants us to stay together that we are available at a reduced combined adoption rate.
