Experience a day in the life of Business major Rinna Azuma, an exchange student from Japan.
The 2019 Hawk Tank Business Plan Competition for FLC students and recent alumni crowned this year's best and most creative business ideas at an evening gala on April 6.
Runner's World featured a story about research by Assistant Professor of Geosciences Mickey Campbell that analyzes crowd-sourced information from Strava app users to develop ways to better direct firefighters in the field toward safer evacuation routes.
The annual Sustainability Initiative Grants were awarded to four projects by students, faculty, and staff to enhance sustainability on campus. 
11 Skyhawks football student-athletes earned academic honors from the National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter.
Cyclist Sarah Sturm (Art, '12) won the pro women's criterium road race at the Sea Otter Bicycle Classic, in Salinas, California.
About 480 students will graduate in three Spring Commencement ceremonies on Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27, in Whalen Gymnasium.
Students are presenting their research findings and creative works this week at FLC's semiannual Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities Symposium.
Assistant Professor of English Stacey Sotosky and several of her students helped produce a Rocky Mountain PBS documentary about former Colorado Congressman Ben Nighthorse Campbell.
KDUR journalist Sarah Flower, Journalism & Multimedia Studies majors Ryan Simonovich and Alex Semadeni, and Shane Benjamin (English, '99) won top awards from the Colorado Press Association for their reporting with The Durango Herald.
The annual Hozhoni Days Powwow returned to Whalen Gymnasium on April 13 -14, featuring Native dancers, drummers, and performers from all over the country.
The first-ever Alumni Fellows Program honored 21 FLC graduates for their notable careers and professional accomplishments by having them speak to classes and attend the Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities Symposium on April 18.
A portfolio by Communication Design major and Marketing & Communications intern Christina Lopez that included a brochure promoting FLC's Graduate Studies programs won Best in Show at the AIGA Student & Young Professionals Portfolio Review in Colorado Springs.
Long-distance runner Megan Finnesy (Psychology and Exercise Science, '92) was profiled by irunfar.com for her ultra running competition and work, and for founding the 62-mile Silverton Ultra Marathon, which launches this year.
