CCMBM Musculoskeletal Events & Opportunities
The Core Center for Musculoskeletal Biology & Medicine (CCMBM) defines itself
by emphasizing musculoskeletal-specific education and services that are critical to its members but not available elsewhere in the university system.
Victor Cheuy, PhD

“I attended the CCMBM Specific Aims Review from the Radiology group and found the session to be extremely helpful. The group was very attentive to the background on the proposed project, went through each aim with me meticulously, and discussed the methodology plans as well. It definitely improved my submission, helping me be clearer and more concise. I am definitely going to take advantage of this mechanism for future submissions, and I would recommend it to anyone submitting projects.”

-- Victor Cheuy, PhD, Assistant Professor, Departments of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation & Radiology and Biomedical Imaging

May 1; Application deadline for CCMBM Junior Investigator Travel Award
This award is intended to support travel to develop expertise, network, or acquire skills in a field at a scientific conference the applicants may otherwise be unable to attend. The award is particularly designed to encourage travel to a conference where the trainee may not be presenting an abstract, but where interactions with other attendees and participation in conference activities can serve as a springboard for trainees to transition to the next stages in their scientific careers. Travel awards may only be used to cover economy airfare for up to $400 per award, for travel occurring before June 15.
