WineShare is a national event that takes place on the First Friday of each month. It's a great opportunity to meet new friends or catch up with old ones. Join Post Art Library Executive Director, Jill Sullivan, as she instructs the community on how to conduct research on historic sites and structures. Discover why people research old homes and buildings, gain basic to intermediate knowledge about how to conduct this kind of research, and learn about common resources you can use. From the Yankton Sioux Reservation, the blues-inspired rock group, Indigenous, comes to the Coda Concert House to promote their newest album, Gray Skies. The award-winning band has appeared on broadcast shows such as NPR's All Things Considered, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, CBS Saturday Morning, and Austin City Limits. Front man Mato Nanji, whose talents have been compared to Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, has been a part of the Experience Hendrix Tour since 2002. Having toured and played alongside blues greats like Buddy Guy, Doyle Bramhall II, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Sheperd, and Eric Johnson, Nanji has dedicated the band's Gray Skies to all young people living on indigenous reservations. MSSU Choral Society: Spring Concert

Come celebrate springtime through song! The MSSU Choral Society is conducted by Dr. Susan Smith, the Director of Vocal Studies at MSSU, and will be accompanied by Clint Newby. This 60-voice area-wide mixed choir will present a variety of popular music including: "I Will Extol Thee"—George F. Handel, Arr. by Walter Ehret; "Do I Hear a Waltz?"—Arr. by John Purifoy (including "Do I Hear a Waltz?," "It’s a Grand Night for Singing," "Falling in Love with Love," "A Wonderful Guy"); Rodgers and Hammerstein On Broadway—Arr. by Mac Huff (including favorite songs from the following musicals: The Sound of Music, Oklahoma, South Pacific, Carousel, The King and I, and State Fair); the major work presented will be, "Spirit Suite"—Arr. Mark Hayes, with Tanner Munson, Tenor as Guest Artist. This powerful spiritual suite includes: In That Great Gittin’ Up Mornin’, Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child, and Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel? The Joplin Writers’ Guild, a chapter of the Missouri Writers’ Guild, includes a wide variety of writers – from hobbyists to professional, published writers. Members have published novels (romance, mystery, historical, middle grade, YA, etc.), nonfiction books (regional history and the Arcadia Images of America series), and articles (travel, education, law topics, etc.). The group focuses on supporting each other and sharing information about the publishing and writing industries. This group is open to the public. Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band

Southern Indiana-bred singer-guitarist Reverend Peyton is the bigger-than-life frontman of Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band. He has earned a reputation as both a singularly compelling performer and a persuasive evangelist for the rootsy country blues styles that captured his imagination early in life and inspired him and his band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi to study under such blues masters as T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour and David “Honeyboy” Edwards.
