Help Save Kate Smith & America

It is now obvious that there was nothing "racist” about Kate Smith or those two songs she sang 86 years ago.

Both Kate Smith and those songs were very popular with blacks and whites alike at the time. Those same songs were performed and recorded by famous black singer, actor and civil rights pioneer Paul Robeson. Those songs, like those in "Showboat" and "Porgy and Bess" were part of a campaign to defend blacks (who then voted Republican), from white Democrats who systematically attacked them with racist propaganda to win elections.  Their racist 1915 Hollywood movie “Birth of A Nation” revived the KKK and destroyed 50 years of black progress since the Civil War almost overnight. Some words in those songs that offend people today were not in anyway offensive or “racist” back then. They were part of often playful slang used by blacks and whites alike in normal, day-to-day conversations.

During the past few weeks, we learned that Kate Smith used her celebrity status to fight racism and bigotry throughout her career. She used her national radio and TV shows to promote black talent like Count Basie’s band and highly controversial singer and civil rights advocate Josephine Baker.

Those daily newspaper articles of Kate Smith’s “history of potential racism” and “racist songs” were all big lies and fake news.   They were then repeated hour after hour on almost every national radio and TV news network.  Many, if not most Americans now believe those blatant lies are the truth!  Kate Smith’s recording of “God Bless America” was dropped by the New York Yankees major league baseball team, and Philadelphia Flyers hockey team.   Her statue was removed from the entrance to the Philadelphia hockey arena.
We are proud that Mayor Ernest Troiano will continue to play her recording of “God Bless America" on the Wildwood, NJ Boardwalk.   We are happy that the Hume family is keeping Kate Smith in the flag ceremonies at their Sunset Beach Gift Shops in West Cape May.

However, the daily and hourly campaign of  lies destroyed Kate Smith and her signature song as universally accepted and respected national institutions. Both are now  “controversial” and “political”.   Neither will ever again be featured in concerts, sports competitions, and special events at schools, colleges, churches, and charities throughout America--unless WE act to change things!
What can we do?

First we must understand that Kate Smith, who died 33 years ago, was not relentlessly attacked for two out of 3,000 songs she sang and recorded 86 years ago.    Kate Smith was attacked and destroyed by the same people who attacked and destroyed long dead Richard Stockton. (Stockton was the genuine hero who went to prison and lost his health and fortune for signing the U.S Declaration of Independence--yet whose statue was removed by  NJ's Stockton University because of fake charges of racism.) Kate Smith and "God Bless America" were attacked and destroyed by the same people who falsely called our National Anthem “racist” and who smeared the Boy Scouts with fake accusations of bigotry.

Kate Smith, like the others, was attacked because she was a symbol of America and our Judeo-Christian heritage. She was attacked by people who systematically use every excuse they can to attack, divide, and weaken our country.
Yuri Bezmenov, explained this in his famous video interview more than 40 years ago.   Bezmenov came to America to warn us of how he spent most of his life manipulating and destroying democracies as a Russian agent.  Click here for the YouTube video:   Subversion Explained by Former KGB Agent Yuri Bezmenov.

Second, help us create a “Summer of Truth” to repair the damage.  Here is how you can help.

Make a donation.  Please help us raise the $20,000 we need to reach the millions  of visitors, especially high school and college students, who will be with us for the summer.   Help us prepare and distribute videos, Facebook and Twitter memes, and post cards designed to reach them.
All online donations received during the month of May will be dedicated to our Summer of Truth campaign to repair the damage done to Kate Smith's reputation!

Help us persuade the Yankees and Flyers. Help identify the bullies who approached them, and the cowards or accomplices who went along.  Let them know that we are not going away, and that it is in their best interest to do the right thing.
