Soweto joins Conservatoire
Birmingham's own Soweto Kinch has joined the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire as a visiting jazz tutor. He plays a celebratory gig at Eastside Jazz Club on 30th May.

South African Piano Star makes first visit
Bokani Dyer brings his South African Trio to Birmingham for the first time on 9th May - also at Eastside as part of a South African Day. Gig supported by Peter Bacon, Brian Homer, Tony Dudley-Evans and Jón Ferrier.

Eddie Henderson
The top US sax star makes a welcome visit to Birmingham on 8th May at PizzExpress Live in Brindley Place.

Birmingham Jazz Legends Festival
This now established weekend festival returns on 17, 18 and 19 May at 100 Trades - this time the main them is the 50th Anniversary of Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. Great bands and a mix of free and paid gigs.
