Hiawatha Night at the Kernels is canceled for Tonight

Tonight's game against the Bowling Green Hot Rods has been postponed due to inclement weather. Unfortunately, all pregame activities for Hiawatha kids are canceled.

Tickets for tonight's game can be used for any regular season game in 2019, it just needs to be exchanged at the Kernels Ticket Office.

Tickets for tomorrow's regularly scheduled game at 6:35 PM are good for both games tomorrow starting at 5:00 PM, gates opening at 4:00 PM.

Garden Work Day - Watch for Weather Changes

Master Gardener and School Nurse Cindy Fagan is requesting help in the Hiawatha Learning Garden.

It's time to kick-start the Hiawatha Learning Garden! Bring the family to weed, fill the beds with compost, and mulch. Wednesday, May 1 after school.

Family Movie Night - Friday, May 3, 6:30 pm

Hiawatha families, please join us for Family Movie Night on Friday, May 3. We will be showing Mary Poppins Returns. (Decades after her original visit, the magical nanny returns to help the Banks siblings and Michael's children through a difficult time in their lives.)

The movie is FREE, and students are encouraged to bring blankets or something else to sit on. Concessions will be available.
Doors open at 6, and the movie starts at 6:30. Students must attend WITH an ADULT; no drop-offs.
Friday, May 3 is also Spirit Day at Hiawatha Elementary. Students and adults are invited to wear school colors (Red & White) or school logo-wear.

Teacher Appreciation Meal

Teacher appreciation week is May 6th-10th!
This year we are planning on a Build-a-Burger lunch for all Hiawatha Staff on Wednesday, May 8th, and a Build-a-Snack bar for Friday afternoon. The PTO will provide the hamburgers, drinks, and dessert, but would love your help to get the rest of the items for the meal and snack bar. Please consider donating to the meal and snack bar by signing up here. The theme this year is "Building a Brighter Future" with construction based items. Please have the items you are donating to the school by the start of the school day on Wednesday, May 8th. Please leave items in the office. If you are unable to donate items but would prefer to donate money to offset the PTO costs, please drop money off in the office labeled to PTO - Teacher Appreciation, checks written out to Hiawatha PTO.

Freddy's Fundraiser - May 6, 4-8 pm

Bring the family for dinner at Freddy's and raise money for Hiawatha Elementary! Show the image on your phone (or bring a flyer) and the school gets 15%. PLUS, all Kid’s Meal orders will be served on a Freddy’s frisbee for the kids to take home!
