Get ready for the 8th grade Dance

ECMS 8th Grade Dance Celebration will be held May 21, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 through May 17 and $12 after. Come "Flamingle" and Limbo with your Hoa Kula in Paradise at our Hawaiian Luau. A signed permission slip is required for attendance. 
 

Yearbooks are now $40

Yearbooks will soon be available for purchase at $40 per yearbook. Students should look to buy them in the cafeteria before school starts. 


Nominate a Teacher of the Year 

Parents and Students: Nominate an ECMS Teacher for the Teacher of the Year | Champion in the Classroom. Both the winner and the school receive $2,500.


Annual 8th grade picnic

The annual 8th grade picnic is Monday, May 20th at 1:15PM.  If weather cooperates, it will be held on the field behind our building.  

Help us make this a memorable event for our 8th graders donating food and other items to the event. Please click here if you would like to donate an item to the picnic. 
 

ECMS International and Family Night

Parents, bring your families and join us for International and Family Night at ECMS on May 7 at 6 p.m. Experience Cultures represented from around the globe with ethnic entertainment, food, artifacts, displays and information. This event proves to be a very engaging and educational experience every year.

All students must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian. Students are not able to stay after school. This is a family event and not a drop off and pick up situation

 

Say Happy Birthday to your student on the school sign!

Wish your child a very special Happy Birthday on the school's marquee!  The marquee will display your wishes for one week, Saturday - Friday, for all ECMS community to see. Sign up here.
 

School House Rock Live Jr. with ECMS Chorus

ECMS Chorus will perform School House Rock Live Jr. musical next Thursday and Friday. Tickets are $5 and will go on sale this week in the mornings, and there will also be tickets sold at the door! 6th and 7th graders on May 2, at 7 p.m. and 8th graders on May 3, at 7 p.m. Students must go home and return with a parent. Come with your family and enjoy the show!

Become a sponsor for the Wheeler Wildcats Golf Classic on May 6. All sponsors will receive recognition in 2019 Wheeler Wildcats Golf Classic Program, PA Announcements at Wheeler Wildcat Home Varsity games and recognition on Wheeler Football website.

PTSA members recognized for going above and beyond

Thank you, Kristy Flowers. With your drive and determination we grew our PTSA membership by 212% over last year.

Aysha Benedict, your guidance and hours of hard work awarded our school with the Visionary Award. This award goes to one school in the ECCC PTA #HiddenDangers. We love that other middle schools are reaching out to us on how they can host a Hidden Dangers event!

Hope Felshaw, through your leadership, we received the Spectacular 8. From legislative action, to programming and everything in between. Thanks for keeping us involved!

The Jr. Wildcat community is incredibly proud of all our PTSA members and all the wonderful things they do to help ECMS!

Summer Camp

2019 Middle School Summer Credit Recovery Program

Location:  Cobb Horizon High School
Cost:  $350 per class - Math or ELA only
When:  June 12 - June 27

Wheeler's Science Spectrum Summer Camp

Rising 7th - 9th: Wheeler is once again hosting Science Spectrum camp this summer from June 10 - 14, 2019, 9:00am - 3:00pm daily.

Designed for rising 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students who have an interest in science and engineering. This five day camp will offer students the opportunity to explore an array of science and engineering fields including Robotics, Chemistry, Forensics,Biotechnology, and Engineering. Learn more. 

 

Wildcat Volleyball Summer Camp

Camp Invention hosted by Sedalia Park

Calling all rising 7-9th graders: Do you want to be a student leader at Camp Invention this summer? (hosted at Sedalia Park) Your child can be a role model for younger inventors. The Leaders-in-Training program invites 7th to 9th graders to participate in Camp Invention® in a whole new way. They’ll guide children through exciting STEM activities during the week of a local camp program, encouraging creativity and hands-on fun while building their leadership and goal-setting abilities.

When: June 10-13 from 8-4

Waves Summer Music Camp Registration is open

Are you looking for a awesome summer camp for your student?
ECMS is offering team building, lots of social activities, soccer, football, ultimate frisbee, movie day, SuperHero Day, and a host of music electives including Jazz, World Drumming, Guitar, Large and Small Ensembles. We even have a beginner track for rising 6th graders who want to get a jumpstart on playing their instrument. This camp is for rising 6th through rising 9th grade students. Register your student today. 

Cost is $125 for the week from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. each.
