O Robin, O Life

To be awakened by the robin’s song
The glorious shout out to the day
The jubilant hallelujah to life
All former incarnations of spring
Exultantly reinstated in your trill
The sapphire horizon blushes pink
Your Maker’s generosity unequivocal

Hollyhock offer

A reminder that if you're planning on joining me at Hollyhock in a few weeks, Hollyhock is offering 15% off of accommodations (some conditions). The offer expires tomorrow May 1st .. please take advantage of it.

Also, partial scholarships are available for up to 50% of tuition for many programs. Priority is given to those in financial need, who plan to bring what they learn at Hollyhock back to their homes, workplaces, and communities to make the world better. Learn more about scholarships here >>

Returning to needs ..

In my last newsletter I included a piece I'd written about NEEDS. I have since expanded on the subject and included some striking photographs from Nick Brandt to accompany the piece. I find his work to be utterly raw and compelling. I hope you will take a look. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the essay where I include 2 short videos of Nick speaking about his work and the painstaking efforts he took to create his collection for his visually powerful book Inherit the Dust. It's remarkable work! Please feel free to comment at the end of the article.

Last night I sat down to watch Journey to Greenland (Le voyage au Groenland, 2016)  on Canadian Netflix. Have you seen it? What a gem of a film! Absolutely watch it if you can. I noticed in the trailer comment thread that someone wrote, "This saved my best friend's life." Yes I can see how this story might do that! It's a film that helps place our woes in proper perspective and realize just how precious, tender and beautiful life is. Let me know what you think!
