SHASTA LAND TRUST

Trail Cleanup, Volunteer Appreciation BBQ & Upcoming Events

ADOPT-A-TRAIL & PARK CLEANUP DAY
Did you know that Shasta Land Trust adopted two trails and a park several years ago? Would you like to help get them ready for the spring season? You can see our name on the entrance to the Arboretum Loop Trail north of the Sundial Bridge, the Old 99 Trail which runs parallel to Market Street (along Miracle Mile), and Amethyst Park off Harlem Drive.

Volunteers are needed to help get our adopted trails looking their best!

When: Friday, May 3rd
Time: 9:00 AM
Where: Meet up at the Shasta Land Trust Office (1768 West Street)
What to bring: Water bottle, comfortable shoes for walking, gloves, and sunscreen

Contact Tessa Blevins at tblevins@shastalandtrust.org or (530) 241-7886 if you are interested. All materials for picking up debris and light snacks will be provided.
APRIL WAS VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION MONTH
The Shasta Land Trust wouldn't be where it is today without the help from the many volunteers who have dedicated their time to complete various projects and tasks. From cleaning up trails, monitoring properties, helping with events, and assisting with office tasks, volunteers have helped build a foundation of success!

Thank you!
You are invited to a Beers & Brauts BBQ on Friday, May 3rd at the Shasta Land Trust office @ 5:30 PM to celebrate all the hard work you have helped with over the years.

PLEASE RSVP with Tessa at tblevins@shastalandtrust.org

Saddle up and explore Ross Ranch! This beautiful property near Shasta College is not only the home of our annual Wildways Kickoff, but with recently received grant funds will soon be a newly conserved property. Riders will be led on a leisurely ride featuring oak woodlands, open grassland, and pristine ponds. The route will include gentle terrain and a water crossing. This is a BYOH - bring your own horse event. Since it is Quattro De Mayo, a delicious Mexican food themed lunch will be served after the ride.
