Donate cell phones, hearing aids, and eyeglasses to the Oregon Lion's, who will distribute them in developing countries. The donation boxes will be available all month at both libraries, alongside our Election Ballot drop-off boxes. Please do not include any accessories, chargers, or cases with your donations.

Parents of children who are dual language learners often have questions about how to support their children’s bilingual development. Come find answers to common questions and hands-on strategies to help promote your children learning and loving two or more languages!
Presenter Dr. Dawn Hendricks co-wrote the country’s first bilingual Early Reading First project, leading a team that established 20 model bilingual classrooms that received national recognition.

The Teen Library Council offers teens in grades 6–12 the opportunity to have input in the way the library serves teens. Members plan, promote, and help out with library programs, recommend items to the library and the public with displays, book reviews, podcasts and social media posts, and more!

GROW YOUR SKILLS AT THE LIBRARY
Game Assistant for Library After Hours Events: Who says games are just for kids? Adults play, too! Volunteer to be a Game Assistant for a 21+ game night at a local pub to promote the library in the community, particularly among patrons in their 20's and 30's. Help set up and play board games and video games, engage the attendees, and help clean up. One Sunday per month, 5:00-9:30pm. Ages 21+.
2nd Edition – An Upscale Resale Boutique: If you can spot a diamond in the rough, have a sense of the “going rate” for good stuff, or love to engage with customers, you will enjoy volunteering at 2nd Edition as a sorter, pricer or cashier.
Weekday and weekend shifts, Ages 15+.
Circulation: Sort and shelve library materials at either library location. Ages 14+.
