Latest data from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show 3 new cases for week 17 – 2019, with a total of 151 HIV notifications for 2019 to date.

HIV drug resistance in Ireland - improving prevalence estimates

Transmitted Drugs Resistance occurs in people who have never previously taken anti-retroviral therapy and is of serious concern. This study has linked epidemiological data with HIV drug resistance data for the first time. The findings of this study can help to inform the management of HIV in Ireland.
