God Talks 2019:
Tonight, Thursday, May 2nd, at 6:30pm: Lena will be one of the two Keynote speakers at a Food and Faith themed version of First Presbyterian's annual event modeled on Ted Talks. "Every spring we invite interesting people to talk about their faith and life passions at God Talks. This year's discussions will focus on the intersection of spirituality and agriculture. We will hear from Fred Bahnson, director of Wake Forest Divinity School's Food, Health, and Ecological Well-Being Program, and Lena Van Wyk, farm director at New Garden Park, a regenerative farming ministry of Church of the Redeemer in Greensboro. Musical guest Jesse James DeConto of Durham is a journalist and songwriter, having released four full-length albums with his band, The Pinkerton Raid. Join us at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 617 N. Elm St., overlooking Fisher Park on the northern edge of downtown Greensboro. Child care will be available with reservation by April 30 to Lisa Witherspoon, 336-478-4726 or lwitherspoon@fpcgreensboro.org. Admission is free."

Saturday Workday:

From 7-11am: Harvesting the first of the year's crops. Everyone is welcome to join as we pray to God with thanksgiving for the first fruits and harvest greens and flowers.
From 1-4pm: May Workday! (Not 11am as printed in the bulletin mistakenly) Come help us seed crops and spread wood chips to protect our garden from weeds! Bring a hat and a water bottle.
Farm Open Hours: Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat from 8am-2pm
Farm Stand/CSA Pick-up Hours: 11:30-1pm

If you plan to come to the farm, to visit, help or harvest, please contact Lena at (336)317-8870.
