Student Outreach Week May 6-10
A number of students, who are very involved in our community, have asked to approach the St. Anthony's student body about helping to support their worthy causes. We are so proud that are students are involved and working to make our community a better place, that we will be incorporating a new initiative - Student Outreach Week. Posters are being placed outside classrooms this week and students will speak at Monday Morning Prayer about how the student body can help. We encourage family and friends to be supportive in whatever way you can. We look forward to continuing and growing this initiative next year and in the years to come.

On May 1, 2019 the school was alerted by a parent of a possible threat to the school. However, according to the social media posting shown to administration, the date of the threat was made 2 weeks prior. Manteca Police Department was dispatched to the school immediately upon notification and following their investigation, they determined that no further action was necessary by the school and the case is now closed. The student involved is a minor and neither the name nor grade level is being released. If MPD had considered this a viable threat, contact to parents would have been made through our Parent Alert system.

Measles Update
As you are undoubtedly aware, there is growing concern regarding the heightened potential for the occurrence of a measles epidemic. There has not been a response from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) that constitutes a specific response to the current situation. However, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has provided an informative document titled, “A Measles Reference for Schools & Child Cares: Addressing Schools’ Concerns About Measles” which can be accessed here. Reference phone numbers are available on the attached flyer.
