Social Enterprise in Ireland
The Department of Rural and Community Development are:
- Developing a new National Social Enterprise Policy. The department states that the Policy marks the start of a new phase in the development of social enterprise in Ireland. See the press release here and the draft policy is below to download. The deadline for submissions is May 14th ; and
- Reviewing the Community Services Programme. The review is being undertaken by Indecon Consultants and the terms of reference for the review are below to download.
GCCN will hold a meeting of those engaged with or interested in social enterprise to develop a submission to the Social Enterprise Policy on Tuesday, May 7th at 4pm in the Ballybane Resource Center. All welcome but please confirm by emailing communications@gccn.ie
