What's happening, Charlotte?

“Art is my cure to all this madness, sadness and loss of belonging in the world and through it I'll walk myself home.” - Nikki Rowe, artist

It’s been a difficult few days in the city following the UNCC campus shooting. Mass shootings are unfortunately becoming more commonplace in schools and places of worship.

While these incidents can happen anywhere at any time, I don’t think we can live in fear. There are a number events going on in the city that can be cathartic, or at least temporarily take your mind off the violence.

This tragedy is a reminder that life is precious. Make sure to spend it making memories with those you care about.

Forecast: Expect afternoon showers Saturday and more of the same on Sunday. Highs in 80s and lows in the 60s.

Keep your head up, Charlotte!
