Bringing the Gen Con Experience to a Game Store Near You

We're excited to unveil a brand-new program this year: Pop-Up Gen Con! It's our way of spreading the excitement of Gen Con to friendly local game stores across the country during Gen Con 2019 this August. There's no substitute for joining us in Indy, but for those who can't make the journey, this is the next best thing.

In partnership with Alliance Game Distributors, we'll deliver pre-release copies of new games from major publishers to participating stores, giving Pop-Up Gen Con attendees the opportunity to play and pre-order convention-release games before they hit the market.

Pop-up activations will occur at approximately 40 game stores across the United States (and a couple in the UK). In-store experiences will offer space to play pre-release copies of the featured games, and video content will be streamed live from the Indiana Convention Center.

Information about participating stores, featured games, and attendee registration will be announced in the coming weeks. Pop-Up Gen Con registration will be available for a small fee and include a commemorative badge and an exclusive pin

Check out the press release and stay tuned — more announcements are coming soon!

Event Catalog Releases This Sunday at Noon

The initial release of the Event Catalog this Sunday, May 5 at noon (EDT) contains thousands of events to begin building your wish list, but many events are still being confirmed and will continue to be released in the coming weeks leading up to Event Registration, including Magic, D&D, Pathfinder, streaming, and cosplay events, among others. If at first you don't see an event you're expecting, check the catalog again before May 19 and stay tuned for announcements!

New to Gen Con, or just need a refresher? Check out our website to learn how events work, and how to find events once the catalog is live! If you run into any issues, shoot us a line at customerservice@gencon.com.

Build Your Wish List
Once you've bought your badge and the Event Catalog is live, you can create a wish list through your account by adding events you're interested in. That way, you can easily submit all your picks at once when Event Registration opens on May 19 at noon (EDT).

Your wish list will be automatically created when you add your first ticket of the year, and you can view and modify it by hovering over your name in the upper right corner of the website and clicking on "My Wish List."

Event Registration Opens Sunday, May 19 at noon (EDT)
Parking Passes Available Now

Parking passes from Gate Ten Events & Parking are on sale now on their website

A Gate Ten parking pass is a great way to secure a convenient parking spot during the convention. Their lots are staffed and monitored 24 hours a day, and free shuttle service to and from the convention center is included!

Note: This is different from how these passes were sold in prior years. Instead of buying an event ticket during Event Registration and bringing the ticket to the lot, you'll buy your pass directly through Gate Ten's website and bring your email confirmation to the lot to get your pass.

Yaya Han is Our 2019 Cosplay Guest of Honor

We're proud to announce that our 2019 Cosplay Guest of Honor is Yaya Han! She'll be one of our Costume Contest judges and conduct several cosplay panels at Gen Con this year. Check out our website to learn more!
