Stanford Greens Its Fleet Operations, Reduces Scope 3 Emissions
The campus got a little greener last month, thanks to a shift in fuel used to power university vehicles. Instead of using traditional ultra-low-sulfur diesel made from fossil fuels, the fleet now uses renewable diesel that will help mitigate our Scope 3 emissions. This change will reduce the university’s carbon footprint by eliminating more than 150 tons of greenhouse gas emissions each year, and is part of an overall effort to switch to electric vehicles and reduce impacts of transportation.
