What: 5 Day Camp

When: Wednesday, July 31st – Sunday, August 1st

Cost: $1,700.00

Overview: 

Dallas: Camp Demo Reel is a 5-day On-Camera intensive that culminates in filming one (1)comedic and one (1) dramatic scene for your Demo Reel. The first three (3) days of camp will be jammed pack with acting and film classes plus rehearsals, and the last two days will be dedicated to filming your personal demo reel scenes.

The Camper’s Demo Reels will premiere on our Vimeo site within two weeks, after our editors have finished post-production on them.

All classes and activities will take place at KD Studios.

-  Active Interrogation for Active Listening

-  The Discovery Technique for Camera

-  Developing a Memorable Character

-  Dynamic Entrances and Exits

-  Set Protocol (what to expect on a set)

-  Understanding Blocking for Camera

-  How to act for different camera frames

-  What makes the perfect demo reel

-  Learn how to create and film a scene on your own

Thirty year acting veteran John D’Aquino (NCIS, Seinfeld, Shake it up, Cory in the House, Hannah 
Montana, KC Undercover, CSI, Major Crimes, Dexter, 3rd Rock from the Sunhas starred in six 
television series, recurred on many popular shows and guest starred on dozens more. John’s love for performing is only surpassed by his love for teaching the craft of acting and he is committed to helping actors create dynamic performances by reaching deeper into the canvas of the human spirit. 
Japheth Gordon began studying acting as a child in Miami, Florida. After attending Theater Arts magnet programs for both middle school and high school, he earned degrees in Theater Performance and Film Directing from the University of Miami and improv training at The Groundlings Theater, iO West, UCB, andSecond City.  Japheth has been teaching On-Camera Performance, Audition Technique and Improvfor over seven years.  He is the VP and Head of Creative Development at John D'Aquino's Young Actor's Workshop where he has developed unique lessons and tools to help prepare young performers in LA and in many other markets all over the country. His classes are thoroughly prepared; always striking a balance between energetic spontaneity and focused craft refining. TV and Film credits on his resume include: Criminal Minds, CSI:Miami, Bones, Grace and Frankie, Heroes, Dexter, Cory in The House, and more. 
 
 Shane graduated with a BA in Theatre from Florida State University. He has voiced 18 commercials for fun things  like Toyota, Macys, Verizon Fios, Staples, McDonalds, and Loot Crate. TV and Film credits have allowed  him to work with pros like Robin Williams, Jeff Goldblum and Bob Odenkirk, he's been on ABC, NBC, DISNEY, FOX,  and films like Spring, V/H/S: VIRAL, The EndlessSynchorinic, and Doctor Sleep.   
 

Emily Reas is originally from Texas and graduated with her BFA in Acting from Texas State University. She was company member at Tim Robbin’s theater company The Actors’ Gang, where she also worked in their educational department, bringing theater to youth across LA. As a Producer, Emily has worked on several projects that have screened at festivals both in the United States and internationally.
