Summer teams

Although on summer break, CU members across the country will still be engaging in mission throughout June and July.

Let's pray as they serve on summer camps, partner with their churches in mission, and join UCCF summer teams (groups of CU students will go and support various local CU movements in Europe).
 

SUN 7
Pray for the 13 students from the Central region who are partnering with a CU movement in eastern Europe today. They are halfway through their two-week trip. Pray that the CU members will have the chance to share the gospel with local students as they build relationships with them.

MON 8
CU students from across the South West are travelling to a Muslim-majority country today. Give thanks for the growing partnership between the South West CUs and the local CU movement there. Pray that they will be an encouragement to each other, and witness to the unity and love of Christ.

TUE 9
Many members from CUs across the South East travelled to Ukraine on 30 June to support the CU movement, CCX. Do pray for them as they run an English-language camp and study the Bible with Christian Ukrainian students and their unbelieving friends. 

WED 10
Pray for the CU members currently helping with Friends International’s fortnight of outreach to international students living in Edinburgh. Pray that they will learn lots about cross cultural evangelism as they meet and chat to international students in Edinburgh and will grow in their own love of the Lord.

THU 11
Give thanks for the Moldova summer team (which ends today) and for the ways that CU students shared their faith with Moldovan students. Please pray that this experience will grow their enthusiasm for mission as they return to university.

FRI 12
Today is the final day of Manchester International Outreach, a fortnight of events hosted by Friends International to reach international students in Manchester with the gospel. Praise God for the North West and North East CU members who helped run activities and shared the gospel with students. Let’s pray that those still seeking will give their lives to Christ.

SAT 13
The UCCF summer team in eastern Europe return to England today. Let’s pray that the CU members who went will take a love of evangelism back to their universities, and that the local students they met will be encouraged and strengthened in their faith as they continue sharing the gospel.

SUN 14
As the UCCF summer team leave Ukraine today, let’s pray for CCX’s ongoing witness in the country. Pray that the Ukrainian Christian students will have been encouraged by their partnership with English CU members and inspired to continue sharing the gospel with their friends.

MON 15
Many CU students are serving on Christian summer camps throughout the summer. Pray that they will faithfully pour themselves out for others as Christ did for us and will see lots of young people take steps closer to the Lord as a result. Pray for energy and health as they do this.

TUE 16
Pray for the many international students who are preparing to come to Great Britain to attend university in September. Let’s ask the Lord to connect them with the CUs and local churches as they arrive, and that many will have open hearts to the gospel message.

WED 17
Please join us in praying for CU Staff Workers (CUSWs) and Relay Workers who are leading UCCF summer teams. For some, this is their first time on an overseas mission. Let’s pray that they will remain energised and lead with godliness and humility.

THU 18
Eight CU students from London are heading to Serbia on a UCCF summer team today. Let’s pray they will serve well as a team, grow in their trust and love of the Lord and be a great support to the local CU movement.

FRI 19
Let’s pray for all the unbelieving students who have heard the gospel through either a summer team or their local CU movement in the last few weeks. Ask the Lord to open their hearts to the good news of Christ and bring them into a relationship with Him!

SAT 20
As the UCCF summer team in the Muslim-majority country head home today, let’s pray for the local CU movement who will continue sharing the gospel with students there this year. Ask the Lord to strengthen them, give them boldness in the face of opposition and a deep trust in Him.

SUN 21
CU students from across the Midlands are heading to support the CU movement in Albania today.

Liv Rigby (Midlands CUSW) says: Pray that these students will grow in their trust and dependency on God as they lean on Him for strength in an alien culture.’

MON 22
Pray for the North East CU students as they come alongside local churches in Doncaster to reach international students there with the gospel.

JP Wright (Durham CUSW) says: ‘Pray that many students will be gripped for a lifetime of mission in this part of the world.’

TUE 23
Many CU students in London are helping run a week of events to reach international students in Harringey. Pray that they will build good relationships with the students they meet, and that many will have open hearts to the gospel.

WED 24
Today marks the halfway point for the summer team in Serbia. Let’s pray that the local Christian students there will be encouraged and built up through this team and will be spurred on in their year-round witness for Christ.

THU 25
Let’s give thanks for the work of Friends International across the UK, and for their wonderful partnership with the CUs. Let’s pray that as CU members partner with Friends International on their various campuses this coming year, they will see gospel fruit.

FRI 26
The UCCF summer team in Albania are halfway through their trip. Let’s pray for sustained energy, good health, and motivation for mission as they build relationships with local students.

SAT 27
Today is the final day of Friends International’s week of outreach to international students in Bournemouth. Give thanks for the CU members from the South East who helped run the week and pray that the Lord will use their efforts to bring fruit.
