We currently have two vacancies for part time Community Development Workers. One post is for Sunnylands and one is for Greenisland. Both are 20 hours per week. Carrickfergus Community Forum is a registered Umbrella Body with Access NI. This means that we submit enhanced criminal record checks for community organisations in Carrickfergus. Access NI authorises umbrella bodies to provide these services to organisations.

Rosa: Voices from the Front Line


Rosa’s Voices from the Front Line programme supports women’s organisations to shine a light on their fight for gender equality in the UK, by resourcing advocacy and activists with lived experience of disadvantage.  The programme offers grants between £500-£2,000.  NB this funder is actively seeking more applications from NI.  

Live Here Love Here: Small Grants Scheme


The Live Here Love Here Small Grants Scheme takes a fresh approach to improving our local environment and building a sense of pride in our local communities.  Grants are available from £500 to £5,000 and are open to volunteer and community groups, all school and third level education organisations, youth groups and sports clubs undertaking civic pride projects throughout Northern Ireland.  

UnLtd Try It Awards


UnLtd Try It awards for social entrepreneurs will help you on your first steps of testing out your idea, with up to £500, alongside a unique package of support including one-to-one coaching from a dedicated award manager (one of their local experts in helping social entrepreneurs to start and grow), training, mentoring and access to networks of other passionate people doing good.  

Nineveh Charitable Trust


The NINEVEH Charitable Trust supports a broad range of UK-based projects and activities of benefit to the general public, with an emphasis on promoting a better understanding of the countryside. Grants available up to £12,000.  

Archer Trust


The Archer Trust is a UK Christian charitable grant-making trust set up in 1994 in memory of Ronnie Archer, who rose through the ranks of Unilever to become Vice-Chairman. It supports well run, small UK charities for whom a grant of between £500 and £4,000 will make a big difference and who provide aid or support to a defined group of needy or deserving people, for instance those with physical or mental disabilities or the disadvantaged.
