Art show, Family Night Out at Mod Pizza and Menchies, Field Day, PTA Board nominees

Hilburn students Art Show at SECU Bank

There is a 5th Grade Art Show up at the State Employee's Credit Union Bank off Hilburn Drive. It is up now until June 7. The 21 students that have work in the show will get a letter from Elementary Art Teacher Tracy Rayner letting them know their art was selected for the show. Here are some of the artworks:

Family Night Out on May 15 at MOD Pizza and Menchies

Mark your calendar: Our May Family Night Out will be a double header at MOD Pizza and Menchies frozen yogurt. MOD Pizza Family Night Out will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 2071 West Millbrook Rd, Suite 103 (at the intersection of Millbrook and Creedmoor roads). Menchies will be from noon to 9 p.m. Come eat dinner and dessert with your fellow Hawks and benefit our school, too! Show MOD Pizza this flyer and at Menchies show or tell this flyer, and a percentage of sales will come back to our school.

All-School Field Day on May 22!

First Annual Hilburn All School Field Day: Hilburn Academy will hold it's first All School Field Day on Wednesday, May 22. Students in all grades will participate in this exciting day! Mr. Falkey and Mr. Mott have been planning the day all year. Middle school students have been organizing games and activities. The Schedule is as follows: Grades K-2 from 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.; grades 3-5 from 10:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; and grades 6-8 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help make this day a success. Spirit Days are every Monday!

Students, teachers and staff should wear purple and your Hilburn spiritwear to show school spirit on Mondays.

Thank you Box Tops collectors! Your work has given $833 to Hilburn this year so far. Box Tops are still valuable. Every clip is worth 10 cents which seems tiny, but they add up fast with your help. If you buy BOX TOPS items, just cut or tear off the complete BTFE clip and please put them in the HAWK in the LOBBY. The earnings go to straight to the school. You may have heard Box Tops are going digital, that is true starting in June, but all existing cardboard clips are still valuable. Just send them in and they will be processed. Walking Wednesday on May 15

The May Walking Wednesday for Hilburn is on May 15. Students who are not already walkers are encouraged to walk to school that day from the satellite location at Raleigh Grande.
