Start spring right with some artistic expression and creative exploration!
Our Cookies and Craft classes happen every first and third Saturday from 1-3pm. Hosted by Baked!, get a free cookie and explore your artistic side! Tickets are $15.
Come to our 2nd Street location on May 11th from 12-6pm, enjoy the nice weather, and see the work of local artists! There will be food and live music, and entry is free!
Kevin Lettellier, our in-house tech expert, will be hosting weekly office hours at Twisted Art Lounge Tuesdays from 2-4pm. Bring any tech-related questions you may have!
Board member Amber Robinson will be bringing her food truck, "Season's in Bloom," to our 222 W. 2nd Street location Monday-Wednesday from 7am-2pm. Come enjoy her southern-style cooking, like po'boys and chicken and waffles, and hang out with other Artisan Alley members!
Our exhibition series is called Form and Function: A Hero's Journey, by Artisan Alley founder Adam Nahas. Using a variety of mediums, Adam explores the relationship between humanity, fantasy, history, and morality. It will be up for the month, but opens Friday from 5-9pm.
We are in the process of creating a community garden outside our Twisted location. It will open shortly, and when it does, feel free to come by and add to it! We will welcome all plant types so long as you respect the space and allow for others to grow as well!
We are searching for muralists to paint the dumpster outside Burl & Ingot. Spread word--this is open to the public!
In other news, Leann Sethna, an IU masters student specializing in food security and agriculture, will be moving in! Introduce yourself to her!
NICHOLAI COX
"I paint things and dream of butterflies. Often, the two intermingle to create the surreal existence of life and death, beauty and the macabre, that showcases itself in hidden glances and tangible whispers. There is an unsettling nature about my work that frequently shows in the detached expressions and passivity of my characters juxtaposed against the chaos of their world. As an artist, it is my job to bring the dreamscape to reality, to touch upon the unseen fantasy world that we live in. My hope is that you will share in the journey, even if it is just as a passerby, and take a piece of the glimpses I offer with you."
