Endow Expands into Latin America;
Releases New Book, Discovering the Doctors

40,000-Strong Catholic Women’s Group
Asked by Vatican to Broaden Reach

DENVER, CO — Endow, the Greenwood Village, CO-based women’s apostolate founded in 2003 in response to St. Pope John Paul II’s call for a “new feminism” and teachings on the true nature of women, has opened up their first international office in Guadalajara, Mexico, after the Commission of Latin America in Vatican City asked them to “be present and work with Catholic women in all dioceses across Latin America.”

The small group faith formation organization also just released their newest book, Discovering the Doctors, Emily Stimpson’s fascinating study on the Doctors of the Church. The book explores the background and unique stories of each Church Doctor, with a particular emphasis on the most recent one, St. Hildegard of Bingen, the philosopher, composer and mystic who pioneered scientific natural history in Germany.

“Many of the issues women have grappled with over the past several generations are no different than those dating back to the 10th century,” commented Endow’s Executive Director, Katherine Meeks. “The response to our work in Mexico has been overwhelming, and so we’re already starting to form groups in London, Ireland, Kenya, Italy, Australia, Spain and Canada.

The Endow model has women gather in small groups in their local communities both for friendship and to come to know their story as Catholic women. “Women want to embrace their Catholic faith,” Meeks explained, “and we’ve found that the best way to do that is in small a group format, where enriching reading and discussions help the mind and heart to meet, thereby transform a person’s soul.”

Mallory Smyth, Director of Programs for Endow, added, “Especially now, with the Church scandals and persecutions like the recent events at Notre-Dame de Paris and in Sri Lanka, our generation is craving authenticity. We want to run into the arms of our Lord, but you cannot love what you do not know. That’s where Endow’s mission of service comes into play.”

Endow sees itself as having a special role to play in society—countering the false “feminist” ideology that has dominated the culture for a half century and replacing it with the true feminine ideal that is rooted in Natural Law and long advanced by the Catholic Church.

“Women who have discovered their identity in Christ are slowly but surely changing the culture,” added Endow President Martha Reichert. “By rejecting counterfeit feminism and empowering women with true food like Emily Stimpson’s Discovering the Doctors, we are igniting a grassfire of fully integrated Catholic women around the country, and now around the world. Like Mary Magdalene at the Resurrection, we are here to go and tell.”
