Dear Driscoll Families,

A Planting Party!
On Saturday 4/27, from 2:00-4:00, join us in the Driscoll Garden for a Planting Party. We will construct some new mobile garden beds for the outdoor classroom, and invite you to BYOP (that’s “bring your own plant”) to plant with your family. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Please RSVP to the Garden Committee.

 Child Assault Prevention:
Each year Child Assault Prevention (CAP) Specialists come to the elementary schools to teach children vital skills to help them stay SAFE, STRONG and FREE. CAP teaches children simple strategies to reduce their vulnerability in situations involving bullying, strangers, and abuse by known persons. The workshops consist of basic, age-appropriate, skill-oriented discussion and role plays for each topic and ends with Review Time, a voluntary opportunity for children to talk 1:1 with a CAP Prevention Specialist.

CAP will be conducting workshops in first, third and fifth grades at Driscoll School in May.
So that you can learn more about this program, we invite you to attend the Child Assault Prevention Program parent meeting on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 8:15-9:15 a.m. in the Theatre


TRIVIA NIGHT
We hope you can join us for the first Driscoll Family Trivia night, to be held in the cafeteria on Wednesday, May 1st from 6:30 - 8 PM.  We'll be putting together trivia questions to test your knowledge of Driscoll school, our teachers, and more.  Put together a team of no more than five people (we suggest at least one student and one adult per team), and keep your eyes on our social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, etc) for some hints ahead of time.  (For example, did you know that Dr. Talukar's favorite movie is The Notebook?)
