The District & Parish elections and European Parliamentary elections were held in Mole Valley on 2 and 23 May respectively. The results for both elections can be found on the Elections section of our website

Following May's District elections, the Liberal Democrat party gained overall control of the council. New Council Leader, Cllr Stephen Cooksey's, first address refers to his party's ambitions 
The new administration has proposed that the next stage of public consultation concerning the Local Plan, Future Mole Valley, is due to take place towards the end of the year     
Your efforts have contributed towards £310,000 being saved across Surrey. It costs less to recycle food waste than it does to dispose of it. The money saved helps protect essential services
A trial is taking place at Dorking Community Recycling Centre, meaning that the facility will only be accepting recycling. All other types of waste will need to be taken to Leatherhead CRC
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, this year's festival will be taking place over a week (13-22 Sep) for the first time, celebrating the 'People Power' theme at events across Mole Valley

Our new Joint Enforcement Team began work to clamp down on anti-social behaviour across the district in April 2019. The team's duties include tackling littering and fly-tipping

Duck Race
We're about to go 'quackers' once again as the always-popular duck race returns Sunday 9 June to Leatherhead from 2pm. This family favourite will take place on the banks of the River Mole. Come join the fun!
