On April 11, POUR LA SOLIDARITÉ gave its first CEASE training! PLS' own employees were the first participants. This session provided them with statistics, theoretical knowledge on intimate partner violence as well as gave them the capacity to recognize the impacts of domestic violence in the workplace and to imagine support measures to deal with it. All of these being presented through case scenarios, brainstorming and group work. 5 sessions have followed / will follow for Belgian companies of the network: the 25th of April, the 7th and 16th of May and finally the 6th and 14th of June!
On April 15, FACE organised its first training session on domestic violence and its impact in the workplace. This session was delivered by Clémentine Levy, Head of Network and Training at Solidarité Femmes to employees of CEASE companies member in France. It aimed to sensitize employees about domestic violence, deconstruct bias, help them to identify warning signs and to know how to react with a colleague experiencing violence.
This session gathered 16 employees with very various positions (social workers, communication, human resources, csr etc).  They shared possible solutions to deal with domestic violence and its effect in the workplace, such as protecting the victim and involving multidisciplinary teams to build complete policies. This was a promising first session that we hope can bring more actions to support victims of domestic violence inside companies!
